Since her 1987 debut, Keiko Matsui has emerged as one of contemporary instrumental music's most distinctive and innovative composers.  Inspired by the Mediterranean Sea, DEEP BLUE features her signature blend of elegant, contemporary jazz - with a deep spirituality, a classical flair, and a cool, R&B groove.

The title track, Deep Blue, is the first of ten incredibly dynamic compositions offered by this world-renowned artist.  Across the Sun demonstrates the beautiful characteristics and subtle explosiveness that her fans have admired throughout her career.  The tranquil experiences of Trees and Rose in Morocco reaffirm her uncanny ability to deliver intensity through simplicity.   With its compelling melody, Mediterranean Eyes reveals the more playful side of Keiko.  On arrangements Water for the Tribe, Moonflower, and Mystic Dance, the listener feels the dynamic sensations Keiko conveys with her diversified tonal moods.

Never one to settle, Keiko's artistic contributions always seem to explore the next horizon of musical textures.  The album, DEEP BLUE continues this tradition, providing timeless pieces of art to be enjoyed with every note at every moment.
