flamenco guitarist José Luis Encinas dazzled U.S. listeners with his
debut, DUENDE.
GUITARRA ROMÁNTICA includes the very best selections from his latest two Spanish releases, featuring his most romantic melodies, backed by acoustic and ambient instrumention. Born in Salamanca, Spain, Encinas studied guitar with European masters and was awarded a scholarship to attend the Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University. By combining his considerable classical music knowledge with his own style, Encinas is creating a new brand of Spanish guitar. His artistry beautifully expresses the deep emotions of love and passion - his guitar becomes their voice on GUITARRA ROMÁNTICA.
