Saxman Euge Groove is poised to become the
next big star of contemporary jazz. On his brand new album, JUST FEELS RIGHT, sound and style are at a high point on outstanding originals, a grooved-up cover of the '70s anthem Just My Imagination, and on impromptu jams. Backed by the genre's top session players and with guest performances by Peter White and Paul Brown, Euge Groove delivers an album that swings from beginning to end and will take him to the top! With the album, Groove set out to challenge today's production standards. The result, a live studio recording made exclusively with classic equipment circa 1976 and older, is an eclectic mix of smooth vibes and urban pop that contemporary jazz enthusiasts crave. "After I finished LIVIN' LARGE (2004), I immediately started thinking of what to do next. I thought first and foremost as a fan of music. What were my favorite albums of all time? And most importantly, why?" he recalls. "One common thread for me was the year 1976. Everything that was on my all-time list hit on or about the mid '70s. Armed with a stack of 45s, my old record player and my iPod (after all, it was 2004 at this point, and I had sold my 8-track player back with my '69 Cougar), I set out to find the why.
