Keyboardist Bob Baldwin is one of today's fastest rising contemporary jazz stars. Baldwin possesses a natural ability to weave life's experiences into his music, keeping it vibrant, meaningful, and always ahead of the curve. On Baldwin's Narada Jazz debut, he's steppin' out with his signature brand of urban jazz-funk and inventive harmonies.

On the album, Baldwin takes his funk jazz style one step further to what he calls "neo-jazz". "I like to keep my finger on the pulse of new trends, like neo-soul. Jill Scott, D'Angelo, and so many others really have something great going on. What I'm doing on the new album is taking inspiration from them and putting it into an instrumental jazz framework."

Each of the songs has its own distinctive feel - from the Latinesque See You In Miami, to the Maurice White-inspired vocals on She's Single, Ready To Mingle, Baldwin's music speaks volumes. Above all shines Baldwin's commitment to his art and the people who listen to it. "Like everyone else, the events in September, 2001 moved my soul. I wanted to write music that said, 'be proud of who you are, stand up for what you believe, and do what you love.' Art does imitate life, and vice versa. Life life to your fullest."
